IT ONCE WAS

CHALLENGE
Europe is an exciting region for holiday seekers due to a rich variety of culture and landscapes. To stand out from its attractive neighbours, the Croatian National Tourist Board sought to strengthen its position as a go-to holiday destination in the Mediterranean.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE
To multiply their visitors from Spain and compete with the popular Spanish holiday destinations, we aimed to attract a segmented audience who enjoy a refined, relaxing holiday through an engaging story and eye-catching visual communications.

OUR APPROACH
We used the agreed tagline,
‘El Meditérraneo tal como era’, which translates to ‘The Mediterranean as
it once was’ to set the scene of the campaign. This simple sentence instils positive nostalgic feelings.
We took this emotive direction to develop their ‘Hero story’ and visual identity, translating it into
campaign deliverables.
